John Craig plans Botswana, Namibia expansion

JOHANNESBURG, (CAJ News) – SOUTH Africa’s menswear retailer, John Craig, plans to establish a presence in Botswana and expand its operations in Namibia.
The first store in Botswana will be opened in October 2019.
Nicole Van Doninck, John Craig’s marketing head, confirmed the company’s expansion plans during an exhibition in Johannesburg.
“We have seen growth in our stores, and hope to continue growing our Namibian market. Locally, our target group are people (men) with disposable income,” said Doninck.
In Johannesburg, the company showcased this year’s summer wear at the Melrose Arch on Wednesday evening.
“The local brand has evolved with the customer and the times and continues its dedication to classic styling, quality and exclusivity,” Doninck said.
John Craig has 60 stores in South Africa.
Founded in Johannesburg in 1947, John Craig is a member of Pepkor.
Other Pepkor brands include Ackermans, Bradlows, HiFi Corporation, Incredible Connections, Pep, Rochester Russells, Shoe City and Timbercity.
