Mugabe reshuffles cabinet

by MARCUS MUSHONGA
HARARE, (CAJ News) – PRESIDENT Mugabe on Monday evening recycled same old ministers in a development the entire nations condemned as a cabinet of “clueless” ministers.
The huge casualty was finance minister Patrick Chinamasa, who was demoted to the position of cyber security, threat detection and mitigation while the only hard working minister of tourism Walter Mzembi was moved to the foreign affairs portfolio.
Mugabe’s cousin Patrick Zhuwawo was made minister of public service, labour and social welfare while Simbarashe Mumbengegwi of foreign affairs was posted to macro-economic planning and investment promotion.
Others include intelligence security boss Happyton Bonyongwe, who was appointed justice minister, a position held by vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Minister of information, Chris Mushowe was posted to a new position for minister of scholarships while Zanu PF spokesman Simon Khaya Moyo became minister of information.
Angry Zimbabweans twitter calling for the old frayed Mugabe to “reshuffle himself” arguing he was the cief culprit to the country’s economic demise.
Speculation is rife Mugabe would appoint his wife Grace at the Zanu PF congress due in December.
Grace is widely believed to be groomed for the presidential position when Mugabe retires from office.
