CHIREDZI, (CAJ News) – ZIMBABWE’S Lowveld has a new media voice.
The Lowveld Post (www.lowveldpost.co.zw) is southern Zimbabwe’s premier online news source highlighting the vast opportunities across various industry sectors and social interaction for local communities.
The online news publication focuses on such agri-business in Hippo Valley, Triangle, Mkwasine and the rest of Chiredzi district while extending coverage to the entire Masvingo Province.
This includes maginalised areas of Chikombedzi, Tshovani, Gona re Zhou National parks, Sango Border-post, Save Conservancies and the neighbouring Chipinge district in Manicaland.
“This historic media project will give voice to the voiceless, including tourism sector, agri-business, local IT vendors, entrepreneurs, investment and general public voices,” said Savious-Parker Kwinika, who is Centre for African Journalists (CAJ) News Africa Chief Executive Officer.
The Lowveld Post is a subsidiary of CAJ News Africa, the South Africa headquartered award winning Pan African news agency.
“For decades, the Lowveld had no media voice, so, as son of the district (Chiredzi, Masvingo province), I decided to give voice to my own local community so that their daily stories, successes, challenges, business, entertainment, culture and sport are always heard nationwide and globally,” Kwinika said.
Among beats the publication will cover include farming (AgriBusiness), tourism, wildlife, environment, technology, arts, culture and sport.
Lowveld Post assured to deliver reliable news delivered by specialised journalists and approved freelancers.
CAJ News Africa anticipates opening other publications for Matabeleland, Manicaland and Mashonaland this year.
